SelfControl.

When you’re studying, it’s easy to get distracted and want to procrastinate by going on time wasting websites like Facebook or Buzzfeed. This app won’t let you get distracted by blocking these websites for a certain period of time. It’ll give you no choice but to focus on your work!
Download SelfControl for Mac here. If you’re using Windows, try StayFocusd on Google Chrome.

Pomodoro Timer.

The Pomodoro Method helps you stay focused by having you focus on only one task for 25 minutes and take a 5 minute break. It makes sure your break length doesn’t get out of hand, but it also makes sure that you don’t go too long without a break, either.
Access an online timer here.

Stopwatch.

A stopwatch is helpful when you’re trying to solve a certain amount of problems in a given amount of time. It’ll help you get quick so that you have time to solve every problem on the exam. It’s especially helpful for math/math based classes!

Quizlet.

Testing yourself is a great way to learn what you don’t know. Quizlet is great because you can make your own self tests or you can take others’ tests.

Study schedule.

Make sure you know what you’re supposed to be doing at any given point in time, and do it!

Google Drive/Evernote.

Need to write something down or store a file? This is a great place to store your study schedule or reminders.

Spotify.

Finals week is better with music! At least in my case, music helps relax me and makes me happy. You can listen to music to wind down after your study session, or if you’re the type of person who likes to listen to music while you study, you can do that!

Technology has given us many tools that we can use to make finals week a little less stressful. Let’s take advantage of these tools!
